Since 2016, MHC have been working with ARENA to support A-Lab, an innovation initiative with the ambition to create systemic change in Australia’s energy sector as we transition to a low carbon future. In that time A-Lab has worked with over 360 participants from 120 organisations and supported over $36m in ARENA grant funding.

In 2018, A-Lab are taking a new approach to the incubation stage of its innovation process. A-Lab are seeking teams from across Australia to apply to attend its invitation-only event, A-Lab Incubate 2018, in Melbourne on 21-23 November 2018.

Incubate 2018 is a three day working session for teams to develop high-impact, innovative projects that help accelerate Australia’s transition to a renewable energy future.

Up to ten teams will be invited to participate, to develop new projects, trials and other initiatives that drive systemic innovation across ARENA’s investment priorities.

Participating teams will be supported by A-Lab facilitators, including MHC, and other experts to enhance the quality of their ideas, enable cross-sector collaboration and accelerate the process of taking concepts through to delivery.

Teams will also have the opportunity to receive advice on appropriate funding models and financing options.

Submissions are due by 5.00 pm on Tuesday, 9 October 2018.
